Aircraft Spirals Out of Control into Palm Trees at Popular Southern California Shoreline
A chopper hovering near a popular southern California beach suddenly began spiraling wildly, eventually descending rapidly and smashing into a line of palm fronds as spectators watched.
Footage uploaded on social media show the helicopter starting to spin above the shoreline then falling near the edge of the coast, where it gets stuck among palm groves and a set of stairs close to the coastal road.
Rescue Operation Details
Emergency responders stated five individuals were taken to hospital comprising two individuals who were in the aircraft and were “extracted safely from the crash site” following the incident on that day.
Three persons on the pavement were hurt. Specifics on their condition were not immediately available.
What led to the incident was not immediately released.
