Passengers aboard the airline are set to access quick internet onboard free of charge following a new agreement from Elon Musk's space firm.
Complimentary and High-speed Connectivity Across the Board
The carrier announced that the free, “reliable and lightning-fast” internet service via SpaceX will be offered to customers flying economy, business, and premium cabins starting next month.
Expanded Deployment Over Multiple Carriers
The parent firm for the airline, IAG, confirmed it had finalized an deal with the satellite firm to provide wifi coverage for 500-plus planes across their airlines, which also include Aer Lingus, Iberia, and the low-cost airline.
Smooth Wifi starting at Gate through Landing
BA stated that the rollout of this technology was part of a multi-billion pound “transformation” program and will offer lag-free internet coverage for flyers from the gate through landing, even when traveling over oceans or remote regions.
Customers will be able to link multiple devices and do not require a separate password.

Present Wifi Options
Restricted connectivity access remains available to BA passengers across most of its jets through the .air service.
Participants of BA’s reward scheme can transmit texts and text-only messages onboard without paying, whereas flyers looking to access music, video, or films throughout their travel if not travelling in premium cabins might pay from £4.99 to £21.99 for one wifi package.
