The Pop Star Portrays a Dark Alter Ego of Herself in Satirical Film First Look
Charli XCX is gearing up for a significant cinematic presence in 2026, beginning with the fictional documentary titled The Moment.
Throughout the movie, the artist embodies what she refers to as a dark version of her own persona.
It’s the realest depiction of the entertainment world that I’ve ever encountered, Charli stated.
She elaborated in a conversation: It’s not a tour documentary, yet the concept stemmed from the demand to make one.
A Glimpse into The Moment
The debut trailer, unveiled on this week, combines authentic footage from her live performances with made-up off-stage interactions.
The film is helmed and co-scripted by her collaborator, who shared that the story revolves around a reality where Charli opted for alternate decisions during the publicity of her hugely successful record Brat.

Additionally, she joined to star in the actress’s first film as director A Tree in Blue.

Musical Contributions
Next February will also bring the launch of Emerald Fennell’s adaptation of Wuthering Heights, which will showcase fresh tracks from the artist.
Additionally, she will create the soundtrack for the story Mother Mary, with Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, set to be released soon.
The film is set to premiere on January 30.
