Three Athletes Named as Finalists for Young Athlete of the Year Award

England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts prodigy Luke Littler and cricketer Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the upcoming Young Sports Personality of the Year award.
These three athletes have been recognised for their remarkable achievements over the past 12 months.
Agyemang helped the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the maiden time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a record-breaking innings.
Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his breakthrough year.
The three contenders were announced live on a widely-listened-to radio show.
The champion will be unveiled on the Sports Personality of the Year show on December 18th.
The ceremony will be televised from 19:00 GMT.
Agyemang's Profile

Only 90 days after her international debut, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to winning the Euros.
She was introduced as a substitute to score key tying goals in both the last eight and last four matches.
Her incredible contributions led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.
Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the best young player in Europe.
She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the global standout among U21 women.
Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.
"Being on the shortlist for this award is incredible," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."
Littler's Profile

Littler kicked off the year in sensational style as - at just 17 years old - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.
He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.
His success continued - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the maiden occasion.
At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, breaking the previous record.
"Earning a spot on the shortlist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a special memory for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."
Davina Perrin
Age: 19 Sport: Cricket
Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and rose to fame with an remarkable and historic innings in August.
Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.
It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.
Perrin came in second place in the batting rankings and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player.
"I'm deeply humbled to be named a finalist for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it inspires more young females to get into cricket."
