Two Individuals Charged with Jail Killing of Lostprophets Singer Ian Watkins
Two individuals now face murder charges following the incarceration fatality of one-time Lostprophets vocalist and convicted child sex offender Ian Watkins.
The two men, Rashid Gedel (25) and Samuel Dodsworth (43) now face murder accusations and are set to face Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, according to investigating officers.
Watkins, 48, was undergoing a 29-year incarceration at HMP Wakefield, plus an additional six years on license, after admitting a string of sex offences including the effort to sexually assault an infant.
Watkins was apprehended subsequent to a narcotics search warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a significant quantity of computers, mobile phones and data storage units were taken as evidence.
