Vinicius Jr Extends Sincere Sorry to Los Blancos Devotees
The forward has registered five finishes in 10 domestic competition matches so far this term.
The Madrid giants winger Vinicius Jr has apologised to fans for his reaction when taken off in Sunday's intense match against Barcelona win.
He was substituted in the 72nd minute and showed his annoyance by heading directly off the pitch.
The Brazilian eventually reappeared to the dugout and, after his side's 2-1 victory, sought to engage the opposition's youngster Yamal during unpleasant after the game exchanges.
"Today I want to say sorry to all the supporters for my reaction when I was taken off in the Clasico," Vinicius shared on his account.
"Just as I have previously expressed during today's training, I also want to express regret anew to my team-mates, the club, and the president.
"Sometimes passion overcomes me because I continuously aim to succeed and assist my side. My determined nature comes from the affection I feel for this team and all it stands for."
Vinicius moved to the Spanish capital from Flamengo in 2018 for millions and has accumulated 111 goals in 335 appearances.
But his career in the La Liga is uncertain with rumors in recent months stating that Real would think about permitting the 25-year-old move on if they obtained a good proposal.
When he was taken off on that day, broadcast footage from network Dazn recorded him stating: "It's always me! I'm departing the side! It's wiser if I go, I'm leaving."
In his most recent message on social media, the athlete stated: "I promise to keep battling every second for the good of Los Blancos, as I have performed since the first day."
